About the Role: Client, a Tetra Tech Company, is looking for a Penetration Tester to join our Cyber Solutions Practice in Atlanta, GA, supporting a federal customer in Washington, DC. Qualified candidates should have experience in software assurance, penetration testing with automated tools, security patch management, secure cloud, and hybrid engineering, and possess an active Top Secret clearance. Responsibilities
- Perform penetration testing, software assurance, and vulnerability assessments for Client customers.
- Interpret testing results to recommend corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
- Produce reports on software assurance efforts, collaborating with service providers and programs. Deliverable: Software Assurance Reports.
- Identify and address security implications during software acceptance activities, including risk acceptance and documentation.
- Conduct security test assessments supporting Client and system-specific software assurance efforts.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate cybersecurity needs throughout Agile development processes.
- Perform and document vulnerability assessments of government-identified systems. Deliverable: Vulnerability Assessment Reports.
- Conduct social engineering tests, analyze security weaknesses, perform risk analyses, and develop exploits.
- Research and stay proficient in tools, techniques, and trends in vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption.
- Develop tools, techniques, training, and countermeasures for vulnerabilities and data security.
- Review and update security configurations annually to ensure compliance with IC policy, implementing changes upon government approval, and reporting metrics monthly.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of penetration testing experience and 8 years of overall work experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI clearance if required.
- Must pass extensive background, credit, and drug screening checks.
Desired Qualifications
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GPEN, or equivalent preferred.
- Proficient in Nessus, Wireshark, Web Application Scanning, Burp Suite, Kali Linux; Metasploit experience preferred.
- Linux and Cisco Routing and Switching experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology discipline from an accredited university; a master's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience.
