APR Consulting, Inc. is hiring: Level 3 Product Engineering (REMOTE) in Chandler

An aerospace client is looking for a Design Engineer to support our Electronics Packaging department. Location: Chandler, AZ 85286 (Onsite) Position: Design Engineer Pay Rate: $37.84/hr. - $50.08/hr. on W2 (DOE) Duration: 12 months or longer Schedule: 9x80 A, 1st shift RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support the modeling, drafting, and release of new or existing mechanical parts and assemblies related to launch vehicle avionics using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter. • Support the modeling and drafting of electrical printed wiring assemblies (PWA’s). • Communicate project status to Responsible Engineers. • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on the design of various system components. • Compile digital product definition packages for final release per ASME Y14.41 - Digital Product Definition Data Practices using Siemens NX PMI and Teamcenter. Basic Qualifications for Engineering Design: • US Citizenship required. • Minimum 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience. • Experience with design, drafting, and release of mechanical parts utilizing Siemens NX and Teamcenter. • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5-2009. • Able to obtain DoD security clearance. Preferred Qualifications for Engineering Design: • Active DoD Secret Clearance. • Experience with design and drafting using PMI (digital product definitions) in Siemens NX. • Experience drafting electrical assemblies (PWA’s). • Familiarity with the design of Avionics for use in flight vehicles. • ASME GDTP Certification Preferred.
