Job Description
Job Title: Penetration Tester / Security Engineer
Location: Atlanta, Georgia; Greenville, South Carolina; or Charlotte, North Carolina
Duration: Permanent Hire
Job Requirements
This is a hands-on position, ideal for an engineer who wants to develop or extend their ‘Red Team’ skills. The role offers opportunities to work with clients on assessments and remediation exercises in response to or anticipation of real-world security events.
Essential Functions
- Lead and conduct red-team exercises related to network, application, and wireless penetration tests.
- Lead and conduct complex security assessments, analyze results, develop and present post-assessment recommendations, and implement proposed solutions.
- Partner with other senior engineers to implement, tune, and document various projects.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with key client staff.
Requirements

- Strong technical aptitude, interpersonal skills, and a desire to learn.
- Proven leadership as a subject matter expert with working knowledge of networking, IP, voice, security, and data center technologies.
- Solid understanding of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Understand real-world security issues and countermeasures related to networking, firewalls, wireless, data centers, cloud, and other components. This role requires a multi-disciplinary skillset, not just theoretical knowledge.
- Continue developing skills as a penetration tester, aiming to be a subject matter expert in this area.
- Apply experience and knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Exercise good judgment in problem-solving and proposing solutions.
Additional Information
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
