Job Title: Performance Tester - Tricentis NeoLoad

Location: Reston, VA

Type: Contract – 5+ months

Contractor Work Model: Hybrid 1-2 times monthly onsite, otherwise Remote

PURPOSE:

Responsible for creating, maintaining, modifying, and managing automated performance testing scripts. S/he must communicate effectively with systems and development teams to troubleshoot performance and scalability issues. The individual will be part of the Performance Testing team.

Required Skills:

• 5 to 8 years of experience with Tricentis NeoLoad's functionality, technology, scripting capabilities, and features for designing and running load tests, including:
• Ability to write scripts to automate test cases and integrate NeoLoad into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience migrating test scripts from LoadRunner to NeoLoad
• Experience integrating NeoLoad with Selenium for end-to-end performance validation
• Knowledge of performance testing concepts, techniques, and types of system performance tests
• Experience with performance testing tools like OpenText Performance Center / LoadRunner, Datadog
• Experience with at least 2 relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, MongoDB)
• Proficiency with Jira, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Understanding of system and application monitoring, server, network, virtualization, and database concepts
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, QA lifecycle, and testing methodologies
• Experience with defect tracking tools and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Define and develop performance test plans and scripts, execute tests, analyze results, and generate reports
• Assist in analyzing test and operational problems, report errors, and communicate with management
• Review and analyze business and system requirements for performance testability
• Maintain knowledge of testing tools and expand business knowledge
• Collaborate with functional testers and developers to ensure coverage for releases
• Coordinate with customers to analyze discrepancies and create test data
• Participate in project meetings and system architecture reviews
