ADA Accessibility Web Forms Tester
Location: Atlanta, GA 30349. Hybrid schedule. Last Date: 9/26/2025. Job posted via Dice. Two part-time opportunities: Forms Tester #1 and Forms Tester #2, with start dates around 11/01/2025 and 12/01/2025 respectively, ending on 4/30/2026. Candidate must be local to Metro Atlanta and provide a Tax Clearance Letter at submission. Client will conduct a background check and individuals must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations.
Responsibilities
- Review and test web forms across various browsers and devices for compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 (Levels A and AA).
- Use assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and Adobe Acrobat) to test form accessibility.
- Identify issues related to keyboard navigation, focus order, label associations, ARIA usage, color contrast, and error handling in forms.
- Document and report accessibility defects clearly, referencing specific WCAG success criteria, including severity and potential solutions.
- Provide clear and actionable remediation recommendations for accessibility issues.
- Stay updated on accessibility laws, standards, and evolving best practices throughout the project.
- Create detailed bug reports that explain accessibility defects, their impact on users, and references to WCAG success criteria.
- Evaluate code to understand how JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ARIA attributes relate to accessible forms.
- Retest fixes to verify that accessibility issues are resolved; ensure business logic remains intact after remediation.
- Collaborate with the team to address accessibility concerns and integrate accessibility into form design processes.
Qualifications
- Essential: Minimum of two years of experience testing and/or guiding accessibility of forms and documents for ADA, 508, and WCAG compliance.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and relevant form-element criteria (e.g., 1.3.1, 3.3.1, 3.3.4, 4.1.2).
- Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, ANDI, Color Contrast Analyzer).
- Hands-on experience with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document technical findings clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Preferred: Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification from IAAP (WAS). CPACC certification is a plus. Knowledge of legal accessibility requirements (ADA, 508, EN 301 549). Experience in government compliance.
- Must be able to evaluate code, specifically JavaScript. Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ARIA attributes.
