Job Title: Software Tester and Quality Analyst

Duration: 12-month contract

Location: Austin, Texas

MUST HAVE:

• 7+ Years’ Experience as a QA Analyst/Software Tester
• 7+ Years Skill in Quality Center 11.0; Quick Test Professional 11,10, 9.5, 9.2; Scripting Languages; SQL; Oracle DB2
• 7+ Years Prioritization and organizational skills with attention to detail and quality
• 7+ Years IT technical writing skills
• 7+ Years Advanced proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and Word
• 4+ Years’ Experience with EIR accessibility standards (US Section 508, WCAG 2.0) and testing for compliance
• 4+ Years Automated testing experience using QTP/VB scripting, including descriptive programming
• 4+ Years’ Experience in SDLC, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• 4+ Years’ Experience with build deployments and software configuration management
• 4+ Years Knowledge of functional and integration testing techniques
• 4+ Years SQL skills, including creating complex queries and evaluating outcomes
• 4+ Years Admin skills with QC modules
• Skills in writing reusable functions/actions for application testing

PREFERENCES:

• 5+ Years experience with WebLogic, LoadRunner, Test Director, Defect Management Tools, Crystal Reports 9.0, Oracle Reports, VB Data Reports

Role Responsibilities

Assist the QA team as a Software Tester and Quality Analyst, translating requirements into test cases, executing manual and automated tests, developing test plans, creating automation scripts, performing backend database testing, reporting defects, and contributing to quality assurance processes. Work under general supervision, with moderate independence, to ensure software quality and compliance with standards. Communicate progress through test reports, risk analysis, and status updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or related field.
