QA Manual Tester – Lafayette, LA. CGI is seeking a Mid-Level Manual QA Tester who is highly motivated and will have an opportunity to work with a top Healthcare company.

Position Description: The best version of us starts with You! The QA Tester upholds quality assurance standards and measures for the team, gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements, enhancements, and will plan and support direct supervisor in executing, training, and supporting the team. This includes writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, writing test plans and scripts for application development, information systems, and operations systems. This role is based in Lafayette, LA in a Hybrid Model.

Responsibilities

• Define test process including required test activities, deliverables and test schedule.
• Understand how changes impact work upstream and downstream including various back end and front-end architectural modules.
• Develop smoke, functional and regression test suites for GUI Front End and Database backend.
• Document, maintain, and monitor software problems.
• Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.
• As a member of the scrum team, closely interact with onsite and offshore team members (Scrum masters, developers, Product Owners and QA).
• Define test data conditions and partner with Data team to obtain the data.
• Actively participate in all phases of testing (In sprint functional testing, integration testing and regression).
• Business requirement analysis, test design, defect logging and tracking.
• Actively engage in defect reporting and triaging.
• Adhere to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a QA Manual Tester.
• Hands-on API Testing experience using tools like POSTMAN.
• Understanding of interoperability testing and contract testing between systems.
• Familiar with JSON validation techniques.
• Intermediate Microsoft SQL query skills; experience with writing/editing complex SQL queries.
• Ability to understand data mapping sheets and validate source to target workflows on cloud platforms such as Databricks.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure preferred).
• Experience in design, development and implementation of QA strategy.
• Broad knowledge with testing and modeling tools, change management and test case generation techniques.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience working in SCRUM and in fast-paced development environments.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and collaborate with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Project Managers and Developers in various locations to test configurations of business requirements.
• Exposure to Automation Testing is a plus; Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Compensation and Benefits

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The current range in the U.S. is $55,700.00 - $97,500.00. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Benefits include:
