Position Overview
The Midtown Group is seeking a recent graduate to join our law client as a Project Assistant / Entry-level Paralegal. The role is 100% onsite at their Litigation Center in Rockville, MD. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate who lives nearby and is considering a legal career.
Note: Accomplished students with restaurant experience who are highly motivated to gain legal experience have been the best candidates historically.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining files and databases
- Organizing information
- Performing factual research
- Developing familiarity with local and Federal court systems
- Assisting attorneys with various projects
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to commit to at least 2 years
- Show strong initiative and organizational skills
- Be able to multitask and pay close attention to detail
- Be computer savvy with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
A four-year degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 is required. Pre-law or related graduates are preferred.
Preferred Background
- Individuals with restaurant experience
- Recent college graduates (last 1-2 years)
Additional Notes
This is a 90-day Temp-To-Hire role.
Hourly Pay: $21.50/hr
