Overview

Install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning equipment in all buildings owned by the Birmingham Airport Authority by performing skilled installation, regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Also manage computerized system controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment in Birmingham Airport Authority buildings.
• Perform skilled installation, regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Manage computerized system controls.

Qualifications

• 2 months of experience.
• EPA approved Universal CFC certification is required.
• Current license from the Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors is required.
• Must pass drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle driving record check.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

Skills

• Ability and willingness to use a variety of tools, meters, lifts, and ladders to perform job duties.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, and floor plans i.e., electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
