Overview

Position: Part-time Group Exercise Instructor at YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $30.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Lead group exercise classes (e.g., HIIT, Yoga, Spin, Dance, and more) and teach a variety of formats.
• Motivate and inspire members to achieve fitness goals and maintain an uplifting class atmosphere.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all fitness levels.
• Maintain safety by monitoring participants’ form and providing modifications as needed.

Qualifications

• You love exercise and can share that passion with others.
• Foundations of YMCA Group Exercise, or equivalent certification (ACE, AFAA, or ACSM Health Fitness Instructor), or other qualified Group Fitness Certification (or pursuing it).
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or ASHI.
• Willingness to complete an E-Verify check as part of the hiring process.
