Overview
Location: Charlotte, NC
We are currently looking for an experienced President and CEO to lead the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte (LACCC). This role serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Chamber, advancing its mission to empower the Hispanic and Latin American business community. Primary duties include driving organizational growth, cultivating partnerships, ensuring long-term sustainability, and serving as a visible advocate for our members. The President and CEO works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and external stakeholders to deliver impactful programs, strengthen advocacy efforts, and expand the Chamber’s influence across the region.
Candidates should be visionary leaders with proven experience in nonprofit or corporate leadership, fundraising, and community engagement. They must also be flexible, collaborative, and committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
Hours/Shift
This is a full-time, exempt position. Evening, weekend, and occasional overnight travel may be required for events, board meetings, and conferences.

Requirements
Extensive leadership experience (7+ years preferred) in nonprofit management or corporate executive roles
Demonstrated success in fundraising, fiscal management (including budgets of $500,000+), and community partnerships
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced degree preferred
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written)
Reliable transportation to and from work, with a valid driver’s license for regional travel
Strong public speaking, communication, and relationship-building skills
A passion for serving the Hispanic/Latin American business community and advancing economic growth
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and visionary leadership to advance the Chamber’s mission
Build and maintain strong partnerships with members, sponsors, funders, and community stakeholders
Oversee financial management, including a budget over $500,000, and ensure long-term sustainability
Lead a diversified fund development strategy (grants, sponsorships, donors)
Manage operations, programs, staff, and community initiatives to achieve measurable results
Serve as the Chamber’s public representative with business, nonprofit, government, and regional partners
Support the Board of Directors in strategy development, evaluation, and governance
Foster a positive workplace culture with coaching and staff development
Physical Demands And Work Environment
The President and CEO must be able to sit for prolonged periods for meetings and administrative work, stand and move for extended periods during events, and lift up to 25 pounds for event setup. The role requires frequent travel throughout the Charlotte region and occasional overnight travel. The work environment is typically an office setting with a moderate noise level, plus off-site events and community activities. This is a full-time, exempt position. Evening and weekend work is required for events and meetings.
