Job Overview:
Home Health Aide (HHA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides clients with various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.
Essential Functions:
  • Personal Care with ADLs and IADLs:
    • Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheelchair), change of position, and toileting.
  • Companion/Sitter/Household Management:
    • Provide companionship and respite services for family.
  • Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients.
  • Client is a man in his 80s, and the family needs immediate assistance for 4-5 hours daily, 3 days a week.
  • Occasional transportation to run errands within a 5-mile radius once a week.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
  • Clean background with no history.
Must be:
  • Willing to keep the client active.
  • Good at communicating.
  • Have a driver's license and car.
