What does a Line Shift Lead do at Swire Coca-Cola?

Part of a high-performing team focused on World Class Manufacturing, with safety as the top priority. The Line Shift Lead is accountable for manufacturing line results including safety, quality, reliability, production attainment, productivity, and costs. Responsibilities include setting and leading shift direction, planned stops, and action plans to reduce losses. The Line Shift Lead coaches the team, ensures understanding of results, and owns equipment and the Daily Management System (DMS). The role ensures effective shift handovers, communicates direction, and allocates staff to stations and planned stops during the shift.

Job Details:

Schedule: 5:00pm - 3:30am Mon-Thu (OT and weekends as needed)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the shift team complies with Safety and Quality procedures
• Coach, train and develop the shift team; work with line functional team to determine root causes and solve line losses and performance outages
• Own the Line shift DDS process including shift-to-shift handover; ensure robust plans for planned stops with defined roles and actions
• Communicate DDS line, department, and plant direction to teams
• Team development: plan and execute training; coach team on owning their skill profiles to feed training plans
• Coordinate with other Line Shift leaders to resolve staffing issues and escalate critical safety, quality, or breakdown issues
• Know plant standards around safety, break-time, quality, scheduling, overtime, and attendance; provide constructive feedback and model positive behaviors
• Build technical skills and help set priorities to maximize process reliability and loss reduction
• Ensure all shift documentation, SOPs, and orders are completed per standards

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or GED) required
• 2+ years working as production/machine operator required
• Experience in high-speed food manufacturing and/or bottling operations
• Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial technology; food manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and build effective working relationships
• Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision
