  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm (hours may vary based on customer needs)
  • Pay Rate: $31+/hr, based on skillset and experience

Mobile Diesel Technician

Job Overview

  • Responsible for repairing and maintaining all medium to heavy duty customer vehicles and equipment, including performing preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient vehicle operations. You will be assigned and operate a company-owned service vehicle to visit customers and conduct onsite service repairs. Repairs may include equipment such as forklifts, trailers, and tractors. You will also be responsible for making road calls as needed. The duties are performed independently, with little to no supervision. Must be equipped with personal hand tools (removed box tools are stored in the service bed of the truck).

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of medium to heavy duty diesel truck engines, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, understanding of internal combustion engines, and ability to identify main components. Must be a self-starter, proficient in computer systems (Microsoft Suite & others), and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Class A/B License preferred for some positions
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate
  • Ability to pass a Road Test
  • DOT Brake/Annual Inspection certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record
