Responsibilities

Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment; perform job duties independently with limited supervision; provide mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C's as needed.

Shifts and Compensation

• Shifts: Mon-Fri, 2:00-10:30pm
• Pay rate starting at: $28.50/hr+, depending on skillset and experience
• Additional $1.50 shift differential

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills
• Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills
• Understanding of tire inspection systems
• Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires
• Basic diagnostic tool skills
• Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
• Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards
• Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions with tools, equipment, machinery and materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment
• Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors; working conditions
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to vary the start and finish times, possibly including weekends and holidays
• Basic computer skills
• Each technician needs to provide their own tools

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification

Coca-Cola Consolidated is the nation's largest Coca-Cola bottler. Our diesel/fleet mechanics service external customers as well as Coca-Cola Consolidated fleet equipment. Technicians are employed by Coca Cola Consolidated, Inc and managed by Red Classic Transit, LLC.
