Role

Coke Florida is looking for a Driver Merchandiser based out of our Daytona location. We’re currently looking for 1st shift, working 4:00AM-Finish, 4/10-hour days with a rotating 5th day, Saturday included.

What You Will Do

As a Coke Florida Driver Merchandiser, you will be responsible for delivering and/or unloading our products to customer locations on designated routes. This is a fast-paced position that stocks the greatest beverage brands on shelves, displays and in coolers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver pre-ordered product to assigned accounts and rotate and stock product.
  • Check accuracy and stability of the load.
  • Deliver products to customers.
  • Merchandise, display and rotate products according to company standards.
  • Invoice and collect monies due.
  • Pick up company property and secure company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Settle all accounts daily.
  • Utilize smartphone technology in handling customer orders/invoicing.
  • Utilize technology for Electronic Logging Systems and fleet management.
  • Comply with routing software guidance.

What You Will Need

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid Commercial Class A driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three years.
  • At least 1 year of general work experience required.
  • Ability to operate a hand-truck and powered industrial equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a powered industrial truck certification.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations.
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and/or have a valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Operate manual transmission.

*Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and reckless driving. Minor moving violations include, but are not limited to, speeding, driving too close, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records will be evaluated to determine eligibility for this position.

Additional qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Local delivery experience preferred.
  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
  • HazMat endorsement may be required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds while kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending.
  • Ability to push/pull manual transport equipment up to 100 yards without assistance.
  • Ability to read information in small, medium and large print.
  • Ability to stand 8–10 hours and walk 4 hours during the workday.
  • Frequently work in a hot/humid indoor environment.
  • Ability to use an audio headset to listen to directions in English.
