Overview

Special Note: This is a temporary position of up to 12 weeks based on business and operational needs. This is an interview position. To provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route; to check all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service; to provide related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages while representing the company in a professional manner and maintain a neat and clean appearance consistent with the company's public image.
  • Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and missorts.
  • Adhere to Courier Best Practices, operating procedures, load van and plan route for efficient delivery and pick-up of packages and ensure proper security of Federal Express and customer property, such as packages, equipment and vehicles.
  • Seek additional business from current customers. Inform sales department of sales leads and market changes.
  • Ensure that packages conform to Federal Express Canada features of service, that proper labelling is provided, and that all paperwork is neat, accurate and ensures customers have adequate supply of Federal Express shipping materials.
  • Operate computerized tracking and dispatch systems ensuring input of correct information.
  • Answer customers' questions on Federal Express Canada's features of service and continually keep customers informed about the company and its services as well as Canada, US and International requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.
  • Operate vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with all government regulations and company procedures.
  • May perform aircraft and/or container loading/unloading and sorting and scanning of packages, as location and workload dictate.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Minimum Experience

  • None - No experience required
  • Customer Service - 1 year (preferred)
    • Customer orientation

Preferred Qualifications

Shift: Monday to Saturday 11:00 am Start Time. MUST be Available to work SATURDAYS. Must Have a Full Valid Class G License. G2 NOT ACCEPTABLE. Job posting date: 9/16/2025; Job posting end date: 09/30/2025 at 3PM local time.
