CHS Inc is seeking an individual to join our Weskan, KS team during the grain season. This position is crucial for general operations and the success of our wheat & corn harvest. Based on weather and business demand, weekly hours range from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., with weekend availability, and the potential to join our team full-time at season's end. We procure crop nutrients globally, supported by extensive rail and truck operations. Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including:
  • Develop knowledge of commodities handled and comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Work courteously and professionally with customers.
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling, opening hatches, and attaching hoses.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery, handling bulk and packaged materials.
  • Control and monitor load-out functions.
  • Operate automated scale/dump systems.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks like lubrication and equipment inspections.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
  • Deliver products to customer sites.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as loaders and forklifts.
  • Report customer complaints, repairs, safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow safety policies and identify hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of operations and/or business operations.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to operate machinery like loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening may be required, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle checks, physicals, and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
  • Ability to work in dust, adverse weather, and temperature conditions.
