Lakeside Foods is looking for Seasonal General Laborers from June 1 through November 20 (estimated timeframe).

Overview of duties

Plant Job Tasks may include roles such as Machine Operators, Floor Attendants, Quality Assurance Technicians, Forklift Operators, Assistant Lead Persons and Sanitation Technicians. Tasks include:

• Basic functional operation of plant machinery (e.g., operating On/Off, Speed of Control, Monitoring Machine Progress, maintaining machine capacity).
• Basic and proficient operation of forklifts for those qualified and certified (transport, stacking and unstacking).
• Understanding operational data, taking measurements, performing basic calculations, and accurately documenting data.
• Utilizing, applying, and storing supplies and materials for operational functions.
• Cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment.
• Assisting Lead Persons with directing other seasonal employees in completing assigned tasks as needed.
• Following directions from Lead Persons, Supervisors, and Management; maintaining a proficient pace and specific job assignments throughout the shift.
• Following all company regulations and policies as directed in Employee Orientation and Job Training, with Employee Safety as the top priority; reporting safety or production hazards to Lead Persons, Supervisors or Management.

Field Job Tasks

• Field Harvest Operators, Spotter Truck Operators, and Waste Tractor Operators, ensuring safe and proficient operation of field equipment.
• Check and maintain field equipment for proper working condition (fluids, tires, cleanliness, etc.) and ensure safety preparation before operation.
• Assist Lead Persons with directing other seasonal employees and maintaining job assignments throughout the shift.
• Follow directions from Lead Persons, Supervisors and Management; maintain a proficient pace and adherence to policies.
