Lone Star Bakery is hiring: Warehouse Supervisor in San Antonio

Lone Star Bakery, Inc. is a fast-paced family-owned business looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to ensure warehouse processes are properly executed and to work with production, quality assurance, and accounting when shipping issues arise.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages the loading, unloading, inspection, and transfer of goods within the Company’s production area, freezers, coolers, dry storage and docking areas.
• Maintains an organized warehouse and ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts are consistent and accurate.
• Ensures forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other warehouse equipment are used safely and that they are appropriately maintained.
• Administers warehouse protocols and procedures (such as FIFO).
• Ensures that all goods issued to floor and back to warehouse are accounted for properly.
• Works with logistics manager and accounting to ensure that shipping schedules are met and notifies all parties of any sales order modifications, returns, or paperwork changes.
• Routinely inspects the warehouse and shipping docks for safety hazards and ensures that employees are following GMPs.
• Develops daily and weekly employee schedules and reviews and signs-off on daily attendance and hours worked.
• Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all shipping paperwork and documentation.
• Manages employee related issues, problems, concerns, and complaints and utilizes appropriate human resource and/or safety channels to get issues resolved.
• Trains employees, demonstrates best practices, and helps develop employees.
• Performs employee evaluations and provides employee counseling.

Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications

• Ability to team-lift 50 pounds.
• Working knowledge of barcoding system.
• Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required.
• Ability to push and pull pallets and other packaging materials.
