Job Description

The primary function of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee Sika Corporation’s distribution center in Davenport, FL. Key priorities include customer satisfaction, cost management, and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, on-time shipping, and productivity. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Director, Warehouse Operations, and may include other activities as assigned.

  • Participate in Sika’s safety and housekeeping programs.
  • Oversee warehouse activities by monitoring shipping, receiving, and inventory; make recommendations to improve processes.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain to address shipment inaccuracies and implement corrective actions.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and performance.
  • Supervise warehouse staff to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Use digital and transactional warehouse processes and reports to make operational decisions.
  • Monitor inventory processes for accuracy; investigate and correct discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized warehouse with high inventory accuracy; monitor aged inventory and obsolete material to minimize financial impact.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and facility safety regulations.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily receiving deliveries and report deviations immediately.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and stored properly; investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Apply FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles as applicable.
  • Lead training and development of the warehouse staff; administer discipline following established procedures.
  • Provide guidance for the efficient use of local Sika Commercial truck drivers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business management.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations management.
