As Warehouse Supervisor, you'll become a key member of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen operations team, supporting the Warehouse Manager in our high-productivity Container Processing Center.
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Hire, train, develop, and supervise warehouse employees
- Receive and record new inventory; inspect and store according to policy
- Conduct physical inventory, compare results to computerized inventory, reconcile differences
- Transfer inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner, according to schedule
- Schedule transfers to and from warehouse; coordinate transfer of inventory between departments
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to increase efficiency of warehouse practices
- Monitor expenditures; implement corrective actions if needed
- Adhere and institute safe operating instructions and safety policies
Job Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Deadline driven workstyle
- Proficiency with data entry, inventory software and systems
- Customer service focused
- Forklift certification
- At least 5 years of experience in distribution or warehouse management
- Physically able to:
- sit for prolonged periods at a desk, working on a computer
- lift up to 15lbs

At Wallenius Wilhelmsen and across our businesses, salaries are determined by position, level, location, and similar factors. The pay or salary range listed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum projected rate of pay for the specific position across our United States locations. Equally as important, as a team member, individual earnings may consider knowledge, skills, abilities, work location and related factors. The current starting salary rate for this position is $66,000. Wallenius Wilhelmsen team members are also eligible for annual merit-based salary adjustments, and participation in competitive benefit programs. Some roles in the company may offer an additional annual bonus. Additional details on salary or pay ranges and benefits will be available through the interview and employment process. Salary or pay ranges are separate from bonus opportunities and/or benefit plans.
