Description:

The Senior Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse, leading a team of shipping/receiving, materials handling, and warehouse clerks. Responsibilities include leadership and supervision of staff, preservation of finished goods and raw materials, health & safety, cost management, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide effective leadership, supervision, motivation, and development of warehouse employees for safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
2. Take over the Manager’s tasks when the Manager is unavailable.
3. Support the Warehouse Manager in activities including WMS system, SOP/WI, KPI, ISO, and safety compliance.
4. Lead a team responsible for shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material transfer of raw materials and finished goods.
5. Be familiar with all warehouse positions to step in when needed; troubleshoot ERP or system issues; analyze and improve processes and work environment.
6. Interact professionally with all departments, customers, and vendors.
7. Maintain inventory accuracy, conduct inventory counts, prepare reports, and perform root cause analysis with preventative actions.
8. Coordinate with other shifts for smooth operations.
9. Work with EHS and other departments to develop and maintain safety programs and promote safety awareness.
10. Ensure all activities comply with Canadian Solar’s Code of Business Conduct and environmental, health, safety policies.
11. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years in warehouse management, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Experience with local, national, and international logistics.
• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Proficient in MS Office, experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory management.
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Organized, energetic, team-oriented.
• Flexibility in working hours is mandatory.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
