Position summary

Tessera is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join our dedicated team supporting operations at the United States Air Force Academy. In this role, you will help receive, store, and distribute mission-critical materials and equipment, maintain accurate inventory records, operate warehouse machinery, and ensure safety and compliance.

Typical duties

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in accordance with military and contract standards
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Maximo, DoD e-Tools, and other approved systems
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or recurring inventory issues
  • Issue and distribute parts, tools, and equipment to maintenance teams
  • Prepare documentation for shipments, transfers, and inventory adjustments
  • Collaborate with logistics and maintenance personnel to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor warehouse safety and environmental compliance
  • Report any concerns or violations promptly
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory systems such as Maximo or DoD e-Tools is a plus
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the following physical duties for extended periods, with accommodation as needed based on disability. Typical requirements include:

  • Reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and repetitive motion for extended periods
  • Repetitive motion, lifting, climbing in/out of vehicles, and stairs as needed
  • Ability to work under pressure for extended periods

Requirements

  • A valid state driver’s license with ability to obtain and maintain Tessera insurance
  • Access to a federal military installation requires REAL ID-compliant license or acceptable alternative (e.g., U.S. passport or military ID)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; a background check and E-Verify will be conducted
