Heavy Equipment Operator – Utility & Site Development

Location: Bentonville, AR (projects throughout Northwest Arkansas)

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team.
This role involves operating various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, backhoes, loaders, and dozers, to support utility installation, grading, and site development.

The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, and experienced in multiple machines, working closely with our crew to complete projects on time and to spec.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment such as excavators, skid steers, backhoes, loaders, and dozers

• Excavate trenches and prepare sites for utilities and concrete installations

• Load/unload materials and assist with grading and backfilling

• Perform daily pre-checks, inspections, and basic equipment maintenance

• Follow company safety protocols and project specifications

• Support the crew with general labor tasks when not operating machinery

• Communicate with supervisors and team members to meet project goals

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating heavy equipment (multiple types )

• Knowledge of trenching, grading, and excavation techniques

• Familiarity with basic construction safety practices

• Reliable transportation to job sites

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs

(Not Required)

• Experience with underground utilities or site preparation work

• CDL for hauling equipment or materials
