Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator proficient in handling a variety of machinery including all sizes of Excavators, Compact Truck Loaders, and Skid Steers. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate logs and making safe, precise decisions for yourself and others. A commitment to wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times is essential. We value individuals who are responsible, honest, punctual, and capable of taking direction.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as 85G Excavators and Skid Steers with minimal supervision.

  • Maintain accurate operational logs and records.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and decisions made are safe and accurate.

  • Wear appropriate PPE correctly at all times.

  • Be responsible, honest, punctual, and able to take direction effectively.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in operating a range of heavy equipment, including Excavators and Skid Steers.

  • Experience in construction utility trenching and excavating.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to work independently without direction on machinery like 85G Excavators.

  • Good communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 Certificate is required.

  • Ability to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

  • Capability to lift 50lbs or more.

  • Comfortable working from heights.

  • Reliable transportation is a must.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 5 AM to 5 PM. Expect a collaborative and safety-focused crew environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
