Heavy Equipment Operator – Loader/Dozer
Shifts: 1st Shift – $17/hr | 2nd Shift – $18/hr (Weekend work may be required)
Express Employment Professionals is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators in Groveland, FL to support production operations by managing organic material stockpiles using loaders and dozers. Opportunities are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes piles to ensure segregation of materials and places material in the shakers to ensure the machines have a continuous flow of material.
Skills and Competencies: Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (forklift, front loader/dozer) - Ability to maintain stockpile slopes to ensure safe work environment - Ability to sit in a loader for many hours in a dusty, hot environment - Ability to climb into and out of equipment repeatedly - Knowledge of safe practice and procedures - Ability to read English and/or follow instructions, and communicate effectively - Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather.
Qualifications
- Experience operating loaders and/or dozers in a production or construction environment
- Understanding of equipment safety and environmental procedures
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions (dust, heat, cold, rain)
- Physically able to climb in/out of equipment and sit for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
