Heavy Equipment Operator Job at Layton Services in Columbus

OPERATORS WANTED FOR:

| Excavators | Bulldozers | Loaders | Rollers | Off-Road Trucks | Skidsteers |

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely maneuver excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment with precision to dig trenches, grade land, clear debris, and mass excavation.
• Transport and place construction materials on the job site as required.
• Ensure work does not disturb/damage existing utilities.
• Understand project specifications and supervisor instructions to execute work accurately.
• Workplace Safety Awareness: follow all safety regulations, use of proper PPE, and possess a responsible attitude toward safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to operate at least one major type of heavy equipment used in excavation/ grading/ site work.
• Minimum 2 years of operating experience on a construction site.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certificate (can be obtained once hired)
• OSHA Trenching and Excavating Certificate (can be obtained once hired)
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong work ethic.
