Heavy Equipment Operator Job at Waste Connections of New York in Iowa Park

Overview

Join Waste Connections of New York as a Heavy Equipment Operator at our landfill in Buffalo Creek, TX. In this position you will operate our Dozers, Excavators, Compactor, along with trucks and smaller equipment at our solid waste landfill.

Responsibilities

• Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
• Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
• Excavating soil using an excavator
• Maintaining haul roads using a grader
• Hauling soil
• Work in a fast paced, team environment
• Follow safe operating practices
• Operate D6T Dozer, 826K Compactor, ADT Haul Truck, Motor Grader, Excavator Sweeper, Water Truck
• Working conditions and physical effort: extensive physical activity; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 60 pounds; exposure to outside weather, fumes and vibration; noise level usually moderate

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
