Location: Pen Argyl, PA

Pay: $21.50 + $2.00/hr shift differential = $23.50/hr

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 5:30pm - 5:30am

Position: Front-End Loader

Responsibilities

  • Maintain aggregate supplies for the production team using a front-end wheel loader.
  • Review production orders to determine amounts of materials needed for daily production.
  • Ensure adequate supply of materials and place orders from suppliers as needed.
  • Operate yard forklifts, front-end loader and man lifts; load and unload trucks with forklifts.
  • Interact with shift supervisors and plant manager regarding materials and required amounts for daily production.
  • Inspect materials at the end of each shift and ensure a clean, adequate supply for the following shift.
  • Operate conveyor systems to move and load materials and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery of supplies arriving and leaving the yard.
  • Maintain inventory in a clean and usable condition.
  • Monitor supply levels and replenish as necessary.
  • Complete minor repairs to equipment and refer issues to maintenance to avoid production delays.
  • Comply with company policies and safety regulations; report discrepancies and problems to management.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures with attention to safety regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to operate an industrial forklift & loader.
  • Industry and machine-specific experience is an asset.
  • Ability to perform currency, weight, volume, and distance calculations (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
  • Ability to problem solve and multitask to handle problems effectively.
  • Loyalty, honesty, humbleness, and transparency.
  • Teamwork and cooperative attitude.
  • Deliver results with high quality standards; never accept mediocrity.
  • Strong work ethic; consider the company’s best interest before making a decision.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
  • Position-specific experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work autonomously and proactively.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, organizational skills and professionalism.

Physical Requirements

The employee must frequently transport and move items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect materials and products. Must be able to identify blends, variances, non-conforming blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; also includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
