Overview
Venture Metals + is a fast-growing metal recycling company looking to grow its operations team with Heavy Equipment Operator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for full-time, dual role Heavy Equipment Operator, who will assist with metal recycling activities. Must be motivated, hardworking individuals for our warehouse scrap facility. Someone that can work by themselves and with coworkers. Must be respectful of company policy, attentive to work materials, safety minded, and reliable.
- Load and unload scrap metal materials with Grapple, forklift, or skid-steers.
- Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements.
- Observe all safety requirements, and lead by example.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
- Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Adhere to, evaluate, and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled / outdoor facility.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
- Some experience operating Grapple crane, forklift, skid steer and excavator operation / maintenance experience (helpful).
- Scrap metal/waste experience is a plus, but not necessary.
