Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment (Utility) Operator in Butler, Georgia / Butler Georgia operations area, Georgia SMA reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Details

• Wages start at $21.00/hr, starting wage based on experience.
• Full-time/Permanent
• Day Shift (6:35 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.)
• Weekend work may be required
• Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• 1 year of experience as a heavy equipment operator preferred.
• Previous quarry experience preferred.
• Able to perform safety and maintenance inspections throughout the day.
• Capable of demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred.
• Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
• Welding experience helpful along with general maintenance and repair abilities.
• Experience in heavy equipment operation a plus, but not required.
• Team player mentality.
• Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with dust, noise, heat, and cold.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
