Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment (Utility) Operator in Butler, Georgia / Butler Georgia operations area, Georgia SMA reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details
- Wages start at $21.00/hr, starting wage based on experience.
- Full-time/Permanent
- Day Shift (6:35 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.)
- Weekend work may be required
- Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- 1 year of experience as a heavy equipment operator preferred.
- Previous quarry experience preferred.
- Able to perform safety and maintenance inspections throughout the day.
- Capable of demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Experience with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred.
- Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
- Welding experience helpful along with general maintenance and repair abilities.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation a plus, but not required.
- Team player mentality.
- Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with dust, noise, heat, and cold.
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
