Waste Pro is hiring: Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator- LaVergne in La Vergne

Description: The Landfill Equipment Operator is responsible for inspecting incoming waste and managing the placement and spreading of waste and earth on the site. The role ensures the efficient and safe operation of the landfill site.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Able to operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment.
2. Understand refuse disposal policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
3. Ability to manipulate heavy equipment control levers.
4. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
5. Maintain accurate written records.
6. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
7. See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
8. Exhibit normal range of body motion.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license for the state in which the position works, with a clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• 24-hour Landfill Operators License preferred.
• High school Diploma or GED preferred.

Other Job Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro USA.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.
