The standard week starts on Wednesday and ends on Tuesday
Rotation 4 days on 3 days off
M, T, TH, F 5:45 AM TO 7:15 PM

Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
The Disposal Heavy Equipment Operator must: have knowledge of the operation and maintenance requirements of heavy equipment; be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; have the ability to learn a variety of semi-skilled and skilled construction and maintenance tasks, practices, methods, mathematical calculations, and materials used in general construction and maintenance work; ability to learn safe work practices and report any potentially unsafe conditions; demonstrate attention to detail and strive continuously to build knowledge and skills; be able to
deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

- Valid Driver's License
- 1+ years of related experience operating a skid steer, rubber tire loader, rubber tire excavator, dump trucks, and front-end loaders with the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License ("OR" obtain within 6 months of hire date)
- NC SWANA (Solid Waste Association of North America) Transfer Station Operator's Certification ("Or" the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date)
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a landfill or transfer station environment
