Warehouse Associate – Hiring Immediately at Ryder System, Inc.

Position Description: Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate to support our facility at Ryder in Lockbourne/Etna, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure the facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and perform housekeeping. Pick and pack duties; check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform tasks as described in location policies and procedures, including handling materials within associated transactions.
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations and related business functions.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.), including basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
  1. Intermediate experience/level required for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to build professional relationships at all levels and work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment; highly organized with excellent time management and detail orientation.
• Powered industrial truck certification is preferred.
