We’re hiring an experienced Manual Screw Machinist to operate and maintain screw machines in a precision-driven, production environment. If you have hands-on experience with Brown & Sharpe, Davenport, Acme, or similar equipment—and you take pride in high-quality craftsmanship—we want to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for a machinist who enjoys working with legacy equipment, understands fine tolerances, and thrives in a steady, well-organized shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual multi-spindle screw machines
• Interpret blueprints, job orders, and shop drawings to determine machining operations
• Make accurate adjustments for tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine settings
• Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Conduct minor machine maintenance and ensure safe, efficient operation
• Monitor part quality and production output to meet deadlines
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience operating manual screw machines (Brown & Sharpe, Davenport, Acme, or similar)
• Strong understanding of tooling setups, cutting speeds, and feeds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Comfortable using precision measuring tools for tight-tolerance work
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
