Position: Part-time Nurse Substitute
Location: Health Office, Key School
Details: The Nurse Substitute will work on an as-needed basis, providing school nursing services under the supervision of the First School Division Head and support staff. The role involves:
- Maintaining accurate health records
- Providing medical care for injuries and illnesses
- Managing and dispensing medications as per doctor’s orders
- Communicating with parents, providers, and health authorities
- Handling medical emergencies and accompanying students to hospitals when necessary
- Serving as a resource on health issues
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in Maryland
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Background check and fingerprinting
- Preference for at least 2 years of nursing experience
Physical Requirements:
This role requires significant telephone and computer work, walking around campus, navigating stairs, and responding quickly to health incidents. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
