Responsibilities

• Process customer orders, handle payments, and provide a high level of customer service.
• Stock and straighten merchandise; assist customers by clearing aisles and helping with cart removal and storage.
• Unload and load freight trucks and participate in store upkeep tasks such as cleaning, setup, and closing.
• Greet customers, assist, thank, and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Operate the register: scan items, process payments, and handle cash, checks, credit and debit transactions per procedures.
• Assist with transferring merchandise and packing orders, following safety and security procedures.
• Ensure safe retrieval of merchandise and keep areas clear of fall hazards; assist forklift operations as needed.
• Uphold merchandising standards: align products, restock, and ensure correct signage and displays.
• Coordinate with supervisors to execute prioritized merchandising plans.
• Utilize equipment safely, including box cutters and manual pallet jacks.
• Maintain store presentation: set up displays, keep products accessible and securely displayed, and perform cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, dusting).
• Position pallets using a manual pallet jack and ensure displays have accurate signage.
• Adjust displays for safety, securing heavy equipment and covering sharp edges as needed.
• Adhere to safety and security procedures; maintain a clean, obstruction-free store environment.
• Remove loose cardboard and slip-sheets; ensure loose or opened products are securely rewrapped as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $16.00/hr. Starting at $16.00/hr (DOE).
