Genesis10 is hiring: Middleware Engineer (IBM MQ / ACE) in Richfield

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Middleware Engineer (IBM MQ / ACE) for a 12 month contract role in the retail industry with our client in Richfield, MN. This role can be 100% remote.

Our client is for an experienced MQ Administrator / Middleware Engineer to join our Data Transport Platforms & Enablement team. This team builds and supports highly scalable, secure, and cloud-enabled messaging and data transfer solutions that power critical business applications-ranging from store systems to supply chain, e-commerce, and more.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and support IBM MQ & IBM ACE platforms.
• Manage messaging and integration services for application teams.
• Work on both on-premises and cloud (AWS) environments across Linux platforms.
• Automate provisioning and operations using Chef, Ansible, Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and perform performance tuning.
• Support enterprise-grade recovery, clustering, patching, and security compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrations and support production deployments.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-7 years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ or IBM ACE.
• 1-2 years with automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform) and AWS messaging (SQS, SNS, Amazon MQ).
• Strong Linux administration background.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility to support on-call schedules.

Preferred/Desired Skills

• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ.
• Experience with Informatica Power Center & Data Quality administration.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud services and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

Compensation

Hourly W2 pay: $55.00 to $61.00/hour

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
