Overview

Job Title: Hardware Engineer at SSi People

Base pay range: $35.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Support the creation of new product designs and maintain existing ones.
• Select components for digital and analog designs; develop tests to validate designs.
• Read, modify, and create schematics; collaborate with layout engineers for necessary changes.
• Utilize diagnostic and test equipment to validate components.
• Prepare documentation and reports to support engineering activities.
• Collaborate with global teams and vendors for development and validation support.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading and creating schematics and electrical system wiring.
• Experience with electronic diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
• Attention to detail and adaptability to changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 2 years of experience in hardware design or a related field.
• Experience with hardware characterization testing.
• Familiarity with programming microcontrollers and FPGAs/CPLDs.
• Knowledge of EMC, product safety, and environmental standards.
