Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $60.98/hr

Payrate: $50.00 - $60.98/hr.

Summary: We are looking for a contract acoustic research engineer to conduct acoustic measurements, acoustic data processing, and auditory perception experiments, and develop relevant methods and tools leveraging scientific coding skills and expertise in audio signal processing, audio hardware systems, machine learning, and acoustics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acoustic measurements and data processing for research and development projects.
• Design and run auditory perception experiments; develop methods and tools using audio signal processing, machine learning, and related sciences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply insights to acoustic product development.

Must-Have Skills

• Audio Signal Processing Expertise – Strong understanding and hands-on experience in processing and analyzing audio signals.
• Acoustic Experimentation – Proven experience designing and conducting audio/acoustic experiments in controlled lab environments.
• Scientific Programming – 3+ years of experience with Python, MATLAB, or Max/MSP for audio applications.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience with audio hardware systems
• Acoustic concepts and acoustic measurements
• Signal Processing and Audio hardware systems

Education / Experience

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field with 3+ years of industry experience in audio technology development, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 - 5 years of experience and flexible

Pay Transparency

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $50.00 - $60.98/hr. Final offer amounts are determined by factors including relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
