Corewell Health is hiring: 9N ACE Nursing Assistant (Part time) in Royal Oak

Overview

Corewell Health is offering up to $750 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity. The unit is the ACE 9 North, a 29-bed specialty unit for the care of medical patients 65 years old and older. Our team focuses on the acute care of the elderly and is NICHE trained (Geriatric Resource Nurse trained for nurses; GPCA trained for aids). We are a Magnet hospital with a dynamic, diverse staff that supports learning and professional growth.

Scope of work

Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient unit functioning. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required
• Current CNA certification preferred
