Piper Companies is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to work on-site in Morrisville, NC Monday through Friday. The ideal Hardware Design Engineer has extensive experience in digital board design for telecommunications products, focusing on PCB-level design and system integration.

Responsibilities of the Hardware Design Engineer:

• Lead the digital board design and development of hardware components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
• Participate in all stages of hardware development, from definition and design to qualification and product release.
• Oversee the entire board processing and manufacturing lifecycle, from prototyping to mass production.
• Use Cadence Concept, Allegro, and Orcad for schematic capture.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  
  

Qualifications of the Hardware Design Engineer:

• 5+ years' experience in digital circuit board design and system-level development, with a focus on high reliability products
• Skilled in using Cadence Concept, Allegro, and OrCAD for schematic capture
• Proficiency with test and debug tools such as telecom traffic generators, logic analyzers, signal analyzers and oscilloscopes
• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  
  

Compensation for the Hardware Design Engineer:

• Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 annually.
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays.
