Work Type: Full Time - Onsite (Remote work not available)

Note: This position focuses on applying door and door hardware knowledge for Kawneer products to deliver expert service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Review door hardware applications at any project stage (estimating, order entry, production); prepare door hardware quotes/submittals and perform quality assurance compatibility checks for KaluCad material proposals.
• Provide exceptional service by interacting effectively and promptly with internal and external customers to determine door and door hardware applications.
• Help maintain market-expected lead times for order transfer after customer release of doors for production.
• Familiar with architectural plans and shop drawings/installation instructions as required for each project application, including reviewing/correcting door and door hardware information on shop drawings.
• Coordinate with door hardware suppliers, including securing outside hardware pricing and ordering.
• Assist in maintaining data management against customer order schedules and work with vendors/customers to find alternate solutions to meet installation demands.
• Maintain knowledge of Kawneer products, especially those that interact with doors and door hardware; stay updated on hardware vendor updates and code changes.
• Maintain and continuously update door hardware application/compatibility databases.

Basic or Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Five years of experience in Kawneer estimating or door take-off, or equivalent experience with another commercial door and door hardware supplier.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two- or four-year college degree or 3 years of industry experience in commercial doors and door hardware.
• Knowledge of Kawneer products, especially doors and hardware.
