Overview

Hardware IVT Engineer role at Nokia. The Hardware Integration and Verification Engineer will conduct unit-level, board-level and third-party hardware integration for the Space and Defense hardware team. The role requires close collaboration with electrical design, mechanical design, and low-level software development. A diverse skill set is required including experience in functional integration, hardware requirements verification, safety and regulatory testing.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Architects to define testable requirements that fully define the product hardware.
  • Have direct responsibility for hardware test plans that enable product verification.
  • Cooperate with electrical and mechanical designers and software engineers to develop a holistic design.
  • Document product faults with design team members and determine root causes.
  • Provide weekly reporting of program status within release manager meetings and to management as required.
  • Compile all necessary evidence at P7 and P8 milestones to demonstrate hardware design maturity and quality.
  • Champion the testing work needed to successfully launch the product into production.
  • Note: Due to the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens and holders of a valid Green Card are eligible for this position.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in hardware IVT taking products to production.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of test automation tools to facilitate timely testing in conformance with specifications.
  • Knowledge of the MN Create process.
  • Customer and third-party test lab relationship management experience.
  • Proficient communication (verbal, written) skills.
