Overview
Hardware IVT Engineer role at Nokia. The Hardware Integration and Verification Engineer will conduct unit-level, board-level and third-party hardware integration for the Space and Defense hardware team. The role requires close collaboration with electrical design, mechanical design, and low-level software development. A diverse skill set is required including experience in functional integration, hardware requirements verification, safety and regulatory testing.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Architects to define testable requirements that fully define the product hardware.
- Have direct responsibility for hardware test plans that enable product verification.
- Cooperate with electrical and mechanical designers and software engineers to develop a holistic design.
- Document product faults with design team members and determine root causes.
- Provide weekly reporting of program status within release manager meetings and to management as required.
- Compile all necessary evidence at P7 and P8 milestones to demonstrate hardware design maturity and quality.
- Champion the testing work needed to successfully launch the product into production.
- Note: Due to the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens and holders of a valid Green Card are eligible for this position.
Qualifications
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in hardware IVT taking products to production.
- Ability to use a wide variety of test automation tools to facilitate timely testing in conformance with specifications.
- Knowledge of the MN Create process.
- Customer and third-party test lab relationship management experience.
- Proficient communication (verbal, written) skills.
