Lead Hardware Engineer Job at Aquinas Consulting in Village of Liverpool

Aquinas Consulting is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer for our client in Syracuse, NY. In this role, you will lead a team of up to six engineers, providing technical and programmatic leadership in hardware design and support. You will ensure adherence to trade studies, architectures, technical analysis, and engineering methodologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.

• Due to the nature of this job, you MUST be a US Citizen and hold an ACTIVE Secret Clearance

Lead Hardware Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Lead a hardware engineering team of up to six engineers.
2. Provide technical and programmatic leadership for hardware design and support teams.
3. Ensure quality control, proper engineering processes, and technical analysis.
4. Coordinate with First Line Managers to ensure appropriate staffing.
5. Act as Cost Account Manager, providing Earned Value updates for hardware work packages.
6. Interface with internal and external customers for technical issues, program planning, and field support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• 9+ years of hardware development experience.
• Proficiency in CREO and hardware design methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in complex systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional or Integrated Product Teams.
• Experience with Earned Value Management, Basis of Estimate (BOE), and proposal development is a plus.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
