Overview

Job Title: Hardware Test Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Hardware Test Engineer, where you will work closely under the guidance of a Senior Hardware Test Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for testing hardware and electrical components of robots, subsystems, and peripherals. Your expertise will contribute to executing testing strategies and verifying functionality, reliability, and performance across a variety of hardware, including actuators, limbs, torsos, sensors, charge docks, and batteries. This is a 6-month contract position with a strong possibility of extension or conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks as directed by the Senior Hardware Test Engineer.
  • Test and evaluate hardware/electrical components of robots and their subsystems.
  • Execute testing strategies to verify functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Work with a range of hardware including actuators, limbs, torsos, sensors, charge docks, and batteries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience, with a strong preference for candidates with internship experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and Linux operating systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with thermal, vibration, and EMC testing.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems.

Work Environment

This role requires a hands-on approach, working five days a week on-site. You will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor, directly interacting with robots. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience in a leading company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.89/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Salem, OR.
