Overview
Hardware Automation Developer at OnLogic, located in South Burlington, VT, United States. This role is suitable for candidates with a Bachelor Degree or equivalent education and experience in related fields.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, implement and deploy OnLogic's automated hardware imaging and testing solution.
- Work with Engineering to ensure new hardware introduced into OnLogic's product line can be tested; develop or update hardware tests as needed.
- Respond to and investigate critical support issues impacting orders in production.
- Maintain documentation for users and stakeholders detailing system capabilities, configuration of tests, and usage.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to implement end-to-end test procedures.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Development teams to design and implement scalable, robust, production-ready applications.
- Train Sales and Engineering to better engage customers and vendors when discussing system testing and image deployments.
- Join the on-call rotation to provide support for the EU production line.
The Team
Our IT team comprises software developers, infrastructure and security experts, systems and network engineers, and business technology professionals. We continually improve internal systems and optimize the frontend experience for our customers, supporting the global business at OnLogic.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Linux knowledge, including application development, scripting, basic administration, kernel interfaces, and embedded/minimal environments.
- Experience creating Ansible playbooks and deploying them to various hardware types.
- Knowledge of standard boot processes (UEFI and Legacy/CSM) and bootloader technologies (GRUB, iPXE, etc.).
- Experience with Python and/or additional Unix scripting languages (bash, KornShell, C shell, etc.).
- Experience with microservices architectures.
Who we're looking for
- A passion for technology with a solid understanding of computer hardware and software architectures.
- Familiarity with Windows application development and scripting is a plus.
- Familiarity with Secure Supply Chain concepts (Secure/Trusted/Measured boot, BIOS Guard, Boot Guard, PTT, Autopilot, FDO).

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000. Final compensation is based on discussions with applicants and experience. Benefits include:
