Overview

As a Hardware Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining system architecture, testing and integrating modules, and providing coverage on critical hardware work-streams for autonomous construction machines. You will design, characterize, integrate, and validate hardware, establish vendor relationships, work with the safety team on requirements, and write software for data analysis and test automation.

Responsibilities

  • Define system architecture for hardware modules in autonomous construction machines
  • Test, integrate, and validate hardware components and subsystems
  • Provide coverage on critical hardware work-streams and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships
  • Work with the safety team to ensure requirements are met
  • Write software for data analysis and test automation

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge in electrical design, testing, and deployment of hardware systems
  • Experience with high-performance edge compute platforms (multi-CPU, GPU resources)
  • Familiarity with autonomous sensing technologies such as lidar, camera, radar, GNSS, and IMUs
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++/Rust, Python, and shell scripting
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred)
