Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer with expertise in Power Electronics to join our team on a contract basis in Sunnyvale, CA . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and testing hardware systems for power conversion, motor control, or similar high-power applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power electronic circuits including DC-DC, AC-DC, and motor drive systems
- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and component selection
- Conduct hardware bring-up, testing, and validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering
- nalyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement design improvements
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety and EMC standards
- Support product lifecycle from concept to production
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering with a focus on power electronics
- Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and power supply design
- Experience with simulation tools (SPICE, PLECS, etc.) and lab instruments (oscilloscopes, power analyzers)
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI considerations and thermal design practices
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience with automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications is a plus
